Garbage collection is performed by franchise with Waste Management. Information about current collection rates and the service they provide in our community can be found at the Waste Management link below.

For the safety of pedestrians, please keep your garbage bins, recycle containers or other personal property off of the sidewalk.  It is unsafe for pedestrians to step into the street to avoid a blocked sidewalk.  It is especially dangerous for children and those with disabilities.  Thank you for making your neighborhood a safe place.

Disposing of Chemicals and other Hazardous Materials

As a result of the fire at the Benton County Household Hazardous Waste Facility located at the City of Richland's Horn Rapids Landfill on June 27, 2010 most household and business hazardous waste will not be accepted at that facility until further notice. These wastes include paints, waste oil, solvents, antifreeze, pesticides, aerosols, pool chemicals, and cleaners. Mobile collection events for the collection of these materials will be scheduled and published on the Benton County Solid Waste website link below. Please do not place household hazardous wastes in your garbage or recycling container.
